about

At this stage in his journey we find Texas at one of his weakest points, but one in which, instead of capitulating he finds great purpose. A confrontation with our shadow, in the Jungian tradition, is often devastating and difficult, but rewarding beyond measure to those who succeed. The songs namesake, ‘Standing Stones’ is referring to an experience by lyricist Daniel Richards, who in his research for the album, undertook the Camino pilgrimage beyond Santiago de Compostela through to Finisterra, Spain. This ancient tradition brings pilgrims from around the world, many of whom on their path raise small stone towers by adding a stone of their own, symbolising their progress and externalising their experience with all those who have come before. ‘Standing Stones’ is a call to arms for anyone who feels they are beyond redemption, that no matter how bad things seem, they are not alone in their struggle.
